In the spring of 2006, after being introduced to disc golf Rocky Lawless and family moved back to Levelland. While driving through the city park he and his son, Derek, noticed the familiar site of chains.  Seeing the baskets set up in the park Rocky and Derek started playing again and introduced disc golf to other family members. In the summer of 2006 the Lighthouse Disc Golf Club was born.

Today, the club has 22 members and host one of the biggest tournaments in West Texas paying out more than $10,000 in cash and prizes. LDGC experiences great support from the city of Levelland and welcomes any and all who want to get out and enjoy a fun and growing sport. Young, old, male, female, rich or poor..no one is excluded.
